Message from Dr. Sandro Rizoli, PTS Editor-in-Chief PAJTCCES

Dear colleagues of the Panamerican Trauma Society,

I am glad to inform you that the special issue of the Panamerican Journal of Trauma Critical Care and Emergency Surgery is published and can be accessed at: https://www.pajtcces.com/journal/PAJT

This is a Special Issue on Violence: prevention and interventions. Our sincere gratitude to the guest editors Drs. Michel Aboutanos and Nicholas Thomson, for the phenomenal work they did. I believe this is one of the best issues ever of the Journal.

This issue also marks the passing of 2 giants: Drs. Rao Ivatury and David Feliciano. The issue records (and celebrates) their lives, how many of us became better because we met them, and their remarkable influence in trauma.

I invite you to read the issue and disseminate in any way possible, from mentioning it to your colleagues to posting on social media. I also reiterate the invitation to submit your papers to the Journal. The Journal needs your help as we resume the effort towards indexation.
