Trauma Nursing

Description: Theoretical and practical course that discusses systematized management of the trauma patient. Complications registry and opportunities for improving the quality standards according to patient safety guidelines.

General Objective: To train nurses in knowledge required for classification, monitoring, caring and supervision of the management of a patient with injuries admitted to the hospital.

Specific Objectives: 

  1. Understand the role of the nurse in the organization of a resuscitation room and identify the criteria of trauma team activation.
  2. Discuss the role of the nurse as part of the trauma team.
  3. Provide nursing care to trauma patients based on scientific evidence.
  4. Understand the importance of the nurse in monitoring, supervision and control of trauma care quality and trauma registry.

Target Audience (who should attend): Nurses, EMS providers & Students.

Course Agenda 8 hours:

- 5 hours of theoretical content

- 3 hours of practical content

Certificate: Onsite Administration (if course fee is paid prior to course) or E-mail Administration (upon receipt of payment post-course)

Course Duration: 1 day

Course Director & Faculty: Course directors and faculty must be experts in the field of Trauma Nursing The director and faculty can be international or local experts. All course directors and faculty must be pre-approved.
